Maldivians have always been a peaceful people, described as civilized and hospitable by seafarers visiting the islands, even in the days of old when traditionally the livelihood of men were dependent on fishing.

One of the Maldives’ newest boutique resorts, Fushifaru Maldives, located on the far North East border of Faadhippolhu Atoll, more popularly known as Lhaviyani Atoll, made waves with a first-of-its-kind arrival ritual by welcoming all guests to the island with the blowing of the Sangu.

Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) together with tourism industry partners will be representing the destination at BIT – Bosra Internazionale del Turismo (International Tourism Exchange) held in Milan, Italy from 11th – 13th February 2018.

Maldives is currently being exhibited in Moscow International Travel & Tourism (MITT), which is held in Moscow, Russia from 13-15 March 2018.
